  TEACHING    PHILOSOPHY :  ♬

 My teaching philosophy centres  on nurturing 

a genuine love and enjoyment of music in my students.  

I aim to inspire musicality and passion, ensuring 

lessons are engaging, and most of all, fun! 

        

 I offer piano and voice lessons to students aged 

 5  to 95,  from beginners to advanced levels, 

emphasizing a fun and fulfilling learning experience.  

   Piano lessons can include RCM classical curriculum, 

as well as Jazz, Latin, and Pop music, 

providing a well-rounded musical education.

My  background in Jazz Piano,  from 

Humber  College  enhances my playing style, 

as well as my approach to teaching. 

Solid technique is encouraged and utilized, in a variety of different ways. 

    For  Voice students,  the importance of effective  breathing and singing  techniques  are utilized.   These are taught  through  breathing  and  vocal exercises,  vocalises,  and 

various  engaging,  fun  pieces.   

Students are encouraged to study  

RCM pieces,  and / or Musical Theatre. 

Other styles can also be studied,

 such as jazz, gospel, and pop music. 

 

 My  ultimate  goal is to make the musical journey rewarding and enjoyable,  with a commitment to excellence.

 comes from  a desire  within, to  create  

beautiful  and  unique  music.  ♫

I  really believe that the potential to  create  music  is  in  EACH  and  EVERY  person.  

  It is my  desire to  inspire students  to  draw

on  that  creativity  from within.  Even if it is small,  creativity can  ALWAYS be developed.   

Music  can ALWAYS be learned.

   I don’t put  limits  on anyone.  No one is too old,  young,  too  uncoordinated,  

or  too uncreative, etc..

  I truly believe ANYONE can learn..

at  ANY stage of  life.

Anything  can be  improved.  

Anyone can be INSPIRED !

 

Music is an amazing,  wonderful  tool to take us to many areas of creativity..  and beyond !
